Parallax Press is a small, nonprofit publisher that focuses primarily on engaged Buddhism. We publish about 5-8 books each year. We are the primary publisher of works by Thich Nhat Hanh. Other authors include: Robert Aitken, Stephen Batchelor, Maha Ghosananda, Sister Chan Khong, H.H. the Dalai Lama, Joanna Macy, Sulak Sivaraksa, Mitsu Suzuki, Ko-Un, and other important leaders of socially engaged Buddhism.
We accept unsolicited manuscripts on Buddhism, including nonfiction books for children, teenagers, and adults. Please check our list of current titles before inquiring.
Interested authors are encouraged to send a query letter, along with a one-page proposal. Authors may also send a sample chapter with a proposal letter. Send to:
