No Coming, No Going
This body is not me.
I am not caught in this body.
I am life without limit.
I have never been born and I never die.
Look at the ocean and the sky filled with stars,
manifestations from my wondrous true mind.
Since beginningless time, I have always been free.
Birth and death are only doors through which we pass,
sacred thresholds on our journey.
Birth and death are a game of hide-and-seek.
So laugh with me,
hold my hand,
let us say good-bye,
say good-bye to meet again.
We meet today,
we will meet tomorrow,
we meet at the source in every moment,
we meet each other in all forms of life.
Practicing the actions of a bodhisattva,
I vow to look with eyes of love and a heart of understanding.
I vow to listen with a clear mind and ears of compassion,
bringing peace and joy into the lives of others
to lighten and alleviate the suffering of living beings.
Breathing in, I am so happy to hug my child.
Breathing out, I know she is real and alive in my arms.
Everything is impermanent, which means that everything can change. Everything goes in accord with the law of cause and effect. Therefore, if we have a new energy, a new insight, a new faith, we are able to open a new stage in the life of our body and our mind.
