Poem: The Song of the Wind

As the wheels leave the miles behind
in a flash of lights in the darkness

As the scene of the quiet night
floats past the windows

I want to be the humming of the engine
and the song of the rushing wind

My body throbs with the vibrations
I can feel the breathing of my fellow travelers.

The wind carries the breath
of the world, singing of love, and love only.

I am the song of the wind,
and nothing else.
