Denise Nguyen

Denise (Diễm Trang) Nguyen, True Moon Lamp (she/her), is a founding Board member and the executive director of the Thích Nhất Hạnh Foundation. Denise has partnered and collaborated with civic leaders, technology companies, universities, community-based organizations, and film companies to organize mindfulness events for Thích Nhất Hạnh and his monastic community for the past 30 years. She has also appeared in two documentaries about the teachings of Thích Nhất Hạnh: Peace is Every Step: Meditation in Action and Colors of Compassion. She was humbled to be ordained a Dharma teacher by Thích Nhất Hạnh in 2014. She lives in Southern California where she enjoys brush lettering, reading, and teaching her dog Bodhi new tricks.
