Zachiah Murray
Zachiah Laurann Murray is a Registered Landscape Architect who, as a steward to the land and all its inhabitants, encourages us to remember we are made of Earth elements—we belong by our very Nature, and advocates for the preservation and restoration of the natural environment to ensure future generations a quality of life enriched through their ability to connect with the Earth itself.
Zachiah has earned a Master of Divinity and is an Ordained Minister in the Kriya Yoga tradition with their teacher Yogacharya Ellen Grace O’ Brian at the Center for Enlightenment where they offer inspirational messages at Sunday Satsangs, teach meditation classes, lead Walking Meditation Retreat Days, lead morning meditation, officiate wedding ceremonies, and provide Vedic counseling.
Zachiah has received the Lamp Transmission as a Dharma Teacher in the lineage of Thích Nhất Hạnh, leads Days of Mindfulness and Walking Meditation for the sangha, and mentors Order of Interbeing Aspirants.
They are presently a Shodan in Aikido and teach the children’s six- to nine-year-old classes at Aikido of Santa Cruz where they train regularly.
They live in a lovely home near the ocean in Santa Cruz, California with their wife Natascha and their four lovely cats.
