sangha: part one, sun

Dear sun,
you are a blessing.

Thank you for your light,
your warmth,
your beauty.

When I feel alone,
you are always there,
shining down on me.

When I feel lost,
I sit within your light
and say, “take me home,”
and I am there.

Within your light,
your warmth,
your beauty,
I am home.

Thank you sun,
for those soft evenings
of setting.

Thank you for circling round,
and within,
shining your light into life,
onto all.

Thank you sun,
for your embrace;
ever present,
ever moving,
ever transforming.

I love you,
sun.

Sun,
I love you.
